  • To ensure the best results from your appointment, please follow these important guidelines in the lead-up to your treatment:

    1. Avoid Vigorous Physical Activity: Refrain from any strenuous exercise for 24 hours before your appointment, as increased blood flow can heighten the risk of bruising.

    2. Limit Alcohol Consumption: Please avoid large intakes of alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your treatment, as this can also contribute to bruising.

    3. Steer Clear of Certain Medications: Do not take aspirin or Vitamin E supplements for one week before your treatment, as these can increase the likelihood of bleeding and bruising.

By following these instructions, you can help ensure a smoother treatment experience and optimal results. If you have any questions or need further guidance, feel free to reach out to our team.

    • Avoid touching the treated area: To prevent the spread of bacteria and ensure proper healing, avoid touching, rubbing or applying makeup to the injected area for at least 4 hours after the procedure.

    • Stay upright: For the first four hours after the injections, it's recommended to remain in an upright position and avoid lying down. This helps to prevent the migration of the botulinum toxin to unintended areas.

    • Avoid strenuous activities: Refrain from engaging in strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, or activities that cause excessive sweating for the first 4 hours. Sweating can potentially spread the botulinum toxin to adjacent muscles.

    • Avoid facial treatments: Steer clear of facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or any other facial treatments for at least one week after injections. These treatments may increase the risk of complications or interfere with the results.

    • Use ice packs (if advised): If your injector recommends it, you can apply ice packs wrapped in a cloth to the treated area. This can help reduce swelling and alleviate any discomfort. However, be sure not to apply excessive pressure or ice directly on the skin.

    • Refrain from alcohol: Avoid alcohol for at least 4 hours after the procedure. Alcohol consumption can increase the risk of spread of the botulinum toxin.

    • Be patient: The full effects of botulinum toxin can take several days to appear. It's essential to be patient and wait for the results to take effect which can take two weeks.

    • Follow-up appointment: If your injector provider has scheduled a follow-up appointment, make sure to attend it. This allows her/him to assess the results and address any concerns or questions you may have.

    • Redness: Mild redness around the treatments sites is a common and temporary side effect. It typically subsides within a few hours or days.

    • Swelling: Some degree of swelling may occur at the treatment sites. This swelling is usually mild and localised, resolving within a few hours to a few days.

    • Bruising: Bruising can occur at the treatment sites, especially if you are prone to bruising. The severity and duration of bruising vary from person to person but typically resolve within a few days to a couple of weeks.

    • Tenderness or discomfort: You may experience mild tenderness or discomfort at the treatment sites. This sensation is generally temporary and should resolve within a few days.

    • Headache: In some cases, a mild headache may occur after receiving treatments. This headache typically subsides within a few hours or days and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers if necessary.

    • Flu-like symptoms: Some individuals may experience flu-like symptoms such as fatigue, mild fever, or muscle weakness after treatments. These symptoms are usually temporary and resolve within a short period.

    • Drooping or asymmetry (rare): In rare cases, the treatment may spread to unintended areas and cause temporary muscle weakness, resulting in drooping eyelids or asymmetry of facial features. These effects are typically temporary and resolve within weeks to a couple of months as the treatment wears off.
